Long time lurker, went to the Canadian Bitcoin Expo today and wanted to say this:
absolutely amazed and astonished that Anthony Di Iorio, a founding "bitcoin alliance of Canada" member listed here staunchly defending "his" ethereum project and the 29.4% premine of ethereum that "we" decided on (at the very end of the conference). WOW. Really? You're on the board of directors of the BITCOIN alliance of Canada and you are publicly defending vitalik buterin during his own talk about ethereum's 29.4% premine? That seems like a MASSIVE conflict of interest, wouldn't you say?
that ~50% of the speakers I paid $200 to see were libertarian extremists advocating more about politics and how our governments are beating us down than bitcoin technology (which I was not expecting, I was more hoping for cool bitcoin tech I had not seen or read about elsewhere on /r/bitcoin)
surprised to see some of the speakers openly advocating what I would describe as money laundering and lying to the Canadian government concerning their business activities (specifically adam levine suggesting that we refer to IPOs as 'store credit' when talking to the public and government figures, rather than an IPO investment in a new company).
EDIT: Those CHAIRS! OMG! Am I right?!
